Theia, Greek Goddess of Shiny Things

Pindar praises Theia in his Fifth Isthmian ode:

Mother of the Sun, Theia of many names, for your sake men honor gold as more powerful than anything else; and through the value you bestow on them, o queen, ships contending on the sea and yoked teams of horses in swift-whirling contests become marvels.


Theia calls on us to reconsider our values. The intrinsic value in gold, silver and gems, or is there? Should we rethink the way we attribute value?

Recycling messaging and instructions are far too complicated for the average person to follow. There are simpler ways to express instructions and rules. If there are rules unique to your state, then express them clearly using media savvy techniques, the New Directions for Democracy Foundation said in a statement.  Media consultants need to be hired, centralized websites established, messaging simplified and surveys conducted on the level of public comprehension of rules, background and context.
